Sara has been teaching yoga in the Twin Cities for over a decade, offering thoughtful, accessible classes rooted in mindfulness and connection. Each summer, she returns to the Como Park Pavilion, gathering in community beside the lake to move, breathe, and begin the day with intention.
These outdoor, all-levels classes are open to everyone, whether it’s your first time on the mat or a familiar practice. You’re invited to move at your own pace, listen inward, and take what you need.
Classes are donation-based, with no pre-registration required. Simply come as you are.
The pavilion offers a covered, open-air space with views of Como Lake, held rain or shine. Gates open at 7:45am, with class beginning at 8:00am. In those early minutes, the space is quiet and unoccupied, a small window to settle in before the day begins.
Bring a mat, any props you enjoy, and layer as needed.
All are welcome!
Yoga FAQs
Trying something new can feel intimidating - and yoga is no exception. Every single person who’s ever stepped onto a mat started with that very first class, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. These sessions are designed to be welcoming, gentle, and rooted in mindfulness and community rather than competition or pushing your limits. Here are some common questions to help you feel more at ease before you arrive.
What style of yoga are these classes?
Sara has taught and studied a variety of yoga traditions. These classes blend the styles she’s most drawn to in her personal practice: yin, alignment-based yoga, and gentle flow. Students can expect a mix of grounded postures (seated, lying down, or on all fours) and accessible standing poses, with an emphasis on mindful movement and breath.
Do I need to register ahead of time?
Nope! Just show up a few minutes early to get settled.
Is this class for beginners?
Yes! All levels are welcome, from brand-new to seasoned practitioners.
How much does it cost?
Classes are donation-based. Give what feels good to you.
What should I bring?
A yoga mat, water, and anything that adds comfort: like a towel, sunscreen, or layers.
What if it rains?
We practice rain or shine under the pavilion roof, so we stay dry.
Where exactly is the pavilion?
The Como Park Pavilion is at 1360 Lexington Pkwy N, St. Paul, MN 55103, right along Como Lake.
